How do I create liner pond.
Before starting to dig out your garden pond, take a careful review to ensure that you have all required materials:
- Pond fleece (to protect the pond liner against roots and rocks).
- Pond liner (especially resistant to weathering and rocks)
- Plant baskets (for safe and solid planting)
- Filter technology (for clear water and a clear view of plants and animals)
- Decoration (to beautify your individual garden pond)
Now you can get started:
Step 1 |
Determine the circumference of the pond and mark it (with sand for example). |
Step 2 |
Plan the different pond zones (marsh zone 20 cm, shallow water zone 50 cm, and deep water zone 70 cm). |
Step 3 |
Dig out the pond pit, and shape the different depth zones in the process. |
Step 4 |
Remove all rocks, root remnants and other sharp objects, cover the excavation with a pond fleece, or a 10 cm layer of sand. |
Step 5 |
Lay out the liner and pull it over the pond pit. As you fill the deep water zone with water the liner will be pulled little by little into the excavation. |
Step 6 |
Design the pond edge with stone liner and gravel. Thus you later create a natural transition into your garden |
Step 7 |
Now you can start planting. Use our plant baskets for this. |
Step 8 |
Now put the equipment in place: Place the pumps, filter, and clarifiers at the desired locations, make all the connections. |
Step 9 |
Design your individual light accents, by placing the lights in the water and above the water surface. |
Step 10 |
Fill the rest of the water into the pond and install the decorative elements. |
Step 11 |
